Now in its 20th year, the Vision Oregon Dinner (previously known as the Statesman Dinner) is one of Oregon’s most important annual gatherings of business, civic and elected leaders. Our 2021 dinner will mark the 20th anniversary of this cherished Oregon tradition.
Each year, the event is attended by hundreds of business leaders who are joined by community leaders and elected officials, ranging from members of Congress to community college board members, from throughout the state. The evening allows the dinner attendees to spend time together, and to hear from a keynote speaker who reflects on challenges and opportunities facing our state, and the role business plays in building a stronger community.
The dinner is also an annual opportunity for Oregon’s business community to reflect on the importance of bipartisan collaboration to build a stronger Oregon. We bestow OBI’s highest honor, the Oregon Visionary Award, on individuals whose work reflects those values. Past honorees have included the late U.S. Sen. Mark O. Hatfield, former Gov. Barbara Roberts, retired Sen. Margaret Carter, and the late businesswoman Gert Boyle, to name just a few
