2018 OBI Annual Members Meeting and Legislative Reception
Oregon Business & Industry has a full day of activities planned for February 12, including a speech by Governor Kate Brown, as part of our first Annual Membership Day. We invite all members to join us in Salem for this opportunity to celebrate our exciting future as a merged association and to learn more about how we can help solve Oregon’s fiscal challenges and move the state forward.
The Annual Meeting starts at 3:30 p.m. at the Salem Convention Center and will feature presentations by Governor Brown and John Tapogna, President of ECONorthwest. The Governor will share her thoughts on the 2018 Short Session and Tapogna will provide a brief economic outlook and highlight the key trends that underlie the state’s ongoing fiscal challenges. Before the Annual Meeting, the OBI Board of Directors will meet at 1 p.m.
The day will start with an event we hope to make a regular occurrence: OBI Lobby Day. From 9 a.m. until 12 p.m., our policy team will be available at the Capitol to discuss priority legislation with you and to introduce you to key Legislators. Lobby Day is part of our increased effort to enable you to be involved in shaping the policies that matter most to you. If you would like to participate, please email Megan Chrisman by February 2.
The day will conclude with a Legislative Reception from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., which will offer OBI members an additional opportunity to build relationships and discuss policy with Legislators.
We hope you can join us.
